Kelox International Railway Technology USA LLC started its operation in 2013 with a contract for the design and supply of on board catering equipment for 26 bi-level train cars to be commissioned by Nippon Sharyo Manufacturing for Caltrans/ IDOT.  In that moment Kelox IRT USA was born with the aim of long-term, active participation in the development of the North American railway as it pertains to catering systems.

To do this, Kelox IRT USA is constituted as a joint venture between Kelox SA, a European company that will provide the engineering and design of the galleys, and the American industrial group TBJ, Inc., located in Chambersburg PA.  Thus, Kelox IRT USA incorporates the knowledge and technical expertise in the railway through its European parent company to provide its customers with equipment made in the USA through the manpower, the materials, and the American suppliers of TBJ.  The first train set, a bi-level system, will be issued from our facilities in early 2015.

Our business model is not limited only to the supply of quality equipment according to specification.  It also considers the responsibility for the design, comprehensive project management, and on time delivery all within budget.

Our parent Company, Kelox S.A., has been supplying galley systems in the rail industry for more than 35 years.  In addition to the extensive penetration of the European market, Kelox galleys equipped with operating systems are currently operating in commercial service in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Our business group is labeled as innovative, primarily for the introduction of new materials, improved safety, user comfort and ease of maintenance.
